The Pastor’s Aide Committee at Straightway MBC of Mojave, CA is dedicated to providing unwavering support to the pastor, the first family, and the broader church community. This ministry serves as a pillar of encouragement, care, and assistance to ensure the pastoral leadership is empowered to fulfill its mission effectively.

Mission

To support the pastor and his family morally, spiritually, and financially while fostering a spirit of love, unity, and service within the church.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support and Prayer

• Consistently pray for the pastor, his family, and their needs.
• Offer words of encouragement and gratitude to uplift the pastoral family.
• Demonstrate love and support through actions that show appreciation.

2. Assistance to the First Family

• Celebrate important occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays for the pastor and his family.
• Organize events and activities, including:
  • Christmas and Thanksgiving celebrations.
  • Pastor’s Appreciation Day.
• Provide moral, spiritual, and financial assistance as needed to support their ministry goals.

3. Fulfilling Practical Needs

• Supply necessary items for the pastor’s office or pulpit, such as robes, study materials, and other resources.
• Coordinate arrangements for guest preachers, ensuring their stay and needs are managed with care.
• Encourage church members to participate in ministry work and support initiatives for the pastor.

4. Care for the Church and Community

• Reach out to members who have been absent from Sunday services to express care and concern.
• Visit elderly, sick, or bereaved members in hospitals, nursing homes, or their homes to provide support.
• Welcome visitors to the church, fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere.
• Respond to bereavements within the church community by sending cards, flowers, or other expressions of sympathy.
