Deaconess Board Ministry

At Straightway MBC of Mojave, CA the Deaconess Board plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual and practical needs of the church. The purpose of this ministry, like all others, is to foster fellowship, harmony, and cooperation among members through acts of love, prayer, blessings, and both spiritual and financial support.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Deaconess Board is to assist the Pastor in nurturing the spiritual lives of the women in the church and to support the Pastor and Deacon Board in various capacities. This ministry exemplifies service in action, ensuring the needs of the church and its members are met with care and dedication.

Responsibilities of the Deaconess Board

1. Spiritual Support:
   • Assist the Pastor and Deacons during visits to the sick and shut-in, offering prayer and administering communion.
2. Preparation for Ordinances:
   • Prepare communion for church services.
   • Assist with baptisms and christenings as needed.
3. Church Support:
   • Be ready to serve in a Christian capacity wherever needed, supporting the Pastor, Deacons, and church ministries.
4. Unity and Fellowship:
   • Participate in regular meetings to promote church unity, spiritual growth, and collaboration.
